Dogs discover N351m heroin at Lagos airport

Yesterday the officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) intercepted and impounded three consignments of N351million worth heroin hidden inside balls and rug carpets at the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) Shed, Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.
The drugs which were imported from Pakistan weighed a total of 29.260 kg and were discovered with the help of the agency’s sniffer dogs.
The rug containing 14 kg of heroine had come as cargo on KLM flight while the other two hidden inside balls weighing 10.230 kg and 5.030 kg were flown in on Saudi Arabia Airline flight.

  4. It even beats me how the drugs managed to find their way into KLM flights. Sometimes these airlines should be made to give some explanations.
